Everyday Inspiration (Yes, Even in the Grocery Store)

We've all been there. Standing in the grocery line, waiting to pay and skimming the covers of all the magazines in the aisle racks. I know you've grabbed a Good Housekeeping mag before because the living room on the cover was so stunning that you immediately went home and rearranged your space to get a similar vibe!

Or maybe you remember when Jennifer Aniston’s haircut basically took over the world? Suddenly, women everywhere were booking appointments for “The Rachel.”

That’s how inspiration works. You see it, you love it, you tweak it to fit you.

Business Works the Same Way

Every single thing you scroll past online (social posts, emails, websites, freebies, landing pages) is full of inspiration.

✨ The way a footer looks in an email.
✨ The headline on a freebie that makes you want to click immediately.
✨ A post that makes you stop scrolling and say, “Ooooh, that’s good.”

Instead of thinking, “I could never come up with that,” flip that script. Start a little stash of what inspires you.

• Lead Magnet File: Collect freebies that make you want to sign up.

• Social Media Save Spot: Bookmark posts that spark ideas for your own future content.

You get the idea. You save the idea. You use the idea!

This isn’t about copying and pasting someone else into your business. Hard pass. We don’t need cookie cutter cut outs and we are not looking for any comparison-thief-of-joy vibes here. It’s about letting those creative 'ah-ha! I like that' moments guide you into your own unique style.

Do I Have to Come Up with Something Totally Original?

A lot of new business owners think they need to have the most original idea ever... that no one else has thought of yet... in order to succeed. Does that even exist anymore?

Nobody is born with a magical fountain of ideas. Creativity isn’t some mystical gift, it’s a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. And the more you’re exposed to, by paying attention, scrolling, reading, noticing, the more material you have to work with. So look around!

The trick isn’t to sit and wait for lightning to strike. It’s to notice what excites you, collect it, and sort it like yesterday’s laundry. (Some pieces get folded and worn as-is, others get remixed into something fresh, and some… well, they don’t make the cut at all.)

So don’t tell yourself you’re not creative enough. You are. You just need to give yourself permission to gather inspiration and let it fuel your next step.
